It’s Not About The Before | It’s All About the After

What a great day! Our Going Places Network group got busy this week with make-up, mock interviews and headshots for our Week 10 session – incorporating all of the previous weeks learnings into a fast-paced, interactive and high energy day.

Our professional volunteers conducted mock interviews-speed dating style!  

We wanted to ensure that the ladies LinkedIn profile pictures conveyed the height of professionalism, so we called in the big guns (or brushes as it were)!

For the past two years, Dress for Success Hudson County has been fortunate to have the support of professonial make-up artists Misty Easler www.wix.com/makeupbymisty/makeup

Even with their hectic schedules, these amazing ladies never hesitate to give of their time and talents to help heighten the beauty and confidence of our women.  When we reached out for the Going Places Network event it was no different — they didn’t blink a fabulous well-appointed eyelash — just asked when and where!

With more than 10 years experience working with a renowned NY fashion photographer – Misty Easler was well qualified to once again pick up the camera and do double duty as the photographer for our headshot photoshoot.  The results speak for themselves!  And for the record — its not about the before – its all about the after!

Success Suits Us All Makeover 2010 Event

On November 4, 2010 Dress for Success Hudson County hosted the Sucess Suits Us All Makeover 2010 Event at the Canco Lofts in Jersey City, NJ. The event was a great success! In the words of the Dress for Succcess Hudson County’s Career Development Director - Linda Street, “Our goal is to provide an uplifting, eventful day for the participants, while building diverse media content that captures and celebrates the real faces, spirits and stories of Dress for Success Hudson County.” Dress for Success Hudson County did just that! The day was filled with make-overs which included image styling, photo sessions, testimonials and documentary taping.The women were pampered and felt empowered, leaving with a regained confidence and spirit that was once misplaced.
