Sharing Our Stories
“Understanding the necessity of personal recovery, I became willing and open for change. Unlike so many women afflicted with the disease of addiction, I have been able to maintain the love, affection and support of my children. Miracles happen and they continue to happen for me today. I feel fortunate to be able to say that the last year of my life has truly been blessed. My daughter will be receiving her Master’s degree this year. I am proud to say that she has become the woman I always wanted to be! Today I participate in a drug court program which has been a positive structure in my life. Through the drug court team I was introduced to Dress for Success Hudson County in Jersey City. Because of the Dress for Success Career Guidance Program, I have courage and feel confident that with the skills and career wardrobe they provided me, I can once again be a productive member of society.” – Eunice
